If you don’t already know, we started out as yoga teachers. In fact, we still teach it three times a week at our studio in La Jolla, California. When we created FlowLIFT, we were sort of in a teaching rut. After teaching vinyasa yoga for twenty years, it was time to spice things up! We got really good at sequencing yoga classes, but we wanted something that challenged us even more. At this point in our teaching career we don’t need to plan yoga classes, they just come to us in the moment. We can teach a vinyasa class on the spot, any time, and it always turns out perfect. It’s quite the opposite with teaching FlowLIFT classes.
Doing Yoga with Weights Can Change the Way You Practice Vinyasa Yoga
The strength we work on in FlowLIFT classes stems from the core and when your core is strong, your yoga practice flows with more ease. Have you ever seen yogis that seem to defy gravity as they move through sun salutes, jump-backs and jump-forwards? That type of control comes from having a strong core. It’s one of the first things you’ll notice when you begin a steady yoga with weights practice.
Creative Sequencing Makes Yoga Better
Creative sequencing is one other byproduct of adding weights to your yoga practice. FlowLIFT classes are created with compound moves linked together in a creative and effective manner. This type of sequencing can be applied to vinyasa yoga classes. There are many elements from the FlowLIFT class that compliment the simplicity of certain flow classes. The repetitions and the multi-planar nature of the combo moves add a little spice to your practice.
Endurance Helps You Float Through Vinyasa Classes
More endurance means you’ll be stronger and more capable of challenging yourself in yoga. Although yoga is not about competition, it is nice to work towards achieving certain “goals,” such as being able to do an arm balance or inversion. Because FlowLIFT is so physically demanding you’ll be able to take that newfound strength and endurance into the way you do yoga.
No Better Release Than That Post-FlowLIFT Yoga with Weights Feel
There’s no better stress reliever than working really hard physically. The FlowLIFT yoga with weights workout has you dripping sweat and working your muscles from every angle. If you show up to class in a bad mood, lacking energy, or stressed out, you’re sure to do a 180 at the end of the 45 minutes. Since there are no breaks and you’re moving at a steady pace throughout the class there’s no time to think about anything else. Pushing yourself to the edge gets the endorphins moving and you’ll notice a huge difference in how you feel afterwards?
Still not convinced? Try it for yourself. You’ve got nothing to lose with the first 14 days free of FlowLIFT online and you can cancel anytime, but we know that if you give it a good go, you’ll be hooked. Need yoga too? We’ve got a dual membership so you can get the best of both worlds.
