3 Steps to Mastering FlowLIFT, The Best Yoga with Weights Class
Start with LiteLIFT and XpressLITE
Even if you are in amazing shape and exercise all the time, when you first sign up for our online classes, filter the yoga with weights classes by LiteLIFT and XpressLITE. These classes are still an amazing workout however they are slower, have less reps and filled with more simple movements.
If these classes are difficult for you, then take your time and move slow. You don’t need to keep pace with the instructor. LITE classes have anywhere from 8-12 reps. Attempt to make the movement clean and strong at a steady and doable pace.
Once you master each move, you can speed it up to bring in the cardio aspect of the class. Repeat classes so that you get more and more familiar with the moves. You will eventually develop the strength and agility to execute FlowLIFT moves in a functional and integrated fashion. In the process you will shed extra weight, especially around the middle of the body.
If the LITE classes are really easy for you, move on to the FlowLIFT and XpressLIFT classes for the most intense experience.
Follow Along With the Yoga with Weights Instructor
When you first tune in to our yoga with weights classes you’ll notice that we film the instructor from the back and from the side. This is so you have the best view of each move. They are complicated and multi-faceted in a way that makes looking at them from the back the easiest way for you to mimic them.
Occasionally we will get a student in class that complains about the teacher not “helping” or “adjusting” students. The teacher demonstrates the entire class not just because it makes it easier to follow. We also want you to improve your own mind-body connection. If you have us standing over you and holding your hand through the class, you won’t dig as deep to find the body awareness that we all have access to. The more you try to copy the teacher and flow through each move as many times as you can, the “smarter” your “bodymind” will become. Suddenly you’ll be doing things with your body that you never thought possible.
Believe In Yourself. You Got This!
Some of the moves will come easy to you, others will be difficult and even frustrating. Pushing through this frustration is actually one of the ways you will grow the most from FlowLIFT classes. Your mind will try to tell you that it’s all just too complicated and to try one of the million other workouts online. Ignore that voice and keep going! The mental fortitude and physical prowess that you will create if you stick with FlowLIFT is worth the effort.
