No More Excuses! Do Our Online Sculpting Classes For Sanity

FlowLIFT is one of the best online sculpting classes you will find on the world wide web. 2020 has thrown us quite the curve ball with the pandemic. We are being asked to stay at home for the greater good of all. This is a huge lifestyle change for most of us and can be a vacuum for new habits, both good and bad. Working out at home is a very good habit and will keep you healthy all across the board. With new responsibilities such as home schooling our children we’re all under new pressures. We need to look out for our own mental, emotional and physical health more than ever. It’s time to ignore our laundry list of excuses and work our own selves out!
Excuses come in all forms and often we may not even recognize them as such. Below are the most common ones we have encountered with our students and ourselves. There is always a way around, through, over or under the walls we put up. We’ve got some tips for you to overcome self created obstacles to look and feel better than ever. Emerge from this stay at home order in tip top shape both inside and out.
Excuse #1: FlowLIFT is Too Hard
Damn right FlowLIFT is hard! If it wasn’t, then it wouldn’t work. Founders Carolina and Amanda live in San Diego, which is quite possibly the exercise capital of the world. EVERYONE works out here. They had their pick of every method of fitness available. Yet they couldn’t find something to give them the results they wanted in the amount of time they had to devote to working out. Let’s face it, most of us are busy moms and and all we have is 45 minutes a few times a week.
Our online sculpting classes have everything all rolled up into one 45 minute workout. As a result, it’s very challenging both mentally and physically. Carolina and Amanda are in their early 40’s. They have to work much harder for the same results that they got from easier forms of exercise in their 20’s. It’s not just about getting the lean, strong FlowLIFT physique. It’s also about developing the mental fortitude required to dig deep enough to make it through the entire 45 minutes with all the reps. This isn’t going to happen right away for everyone, especially if you don’t have an athletic background.
If FlowLIFT is so hard for you that you’re discouraged, try these three simple things.
- Slow down. When there are 10 reps of a move, you do 5-8. Do 7-10 out of the 15 reps of the floor moves. There is no need to try to keep up with the pace of the instructor.
- Take time to figure out the move. There might be a move that completely bewilders you. Take the time to figure it out, even if it means you do two reps for the teachers 15. You are building coordination and body awareness. This persistence and dedication creates a type of strength that is long-lasting and life changing.
- Don’t compare or judge yourself. We hear people say that they are embarrassed when they first take this class (even when they’re home alone). They flounder and fall and flail all over the place. People that are used to exercising and are very physically fit will report this to us. We get it! Keep on going and you will get it eventually! Trust us, it’s worth the effort. It will teach you not to give up when faced with a challenge.
Excuse #2: There Aren’t Enough Online Sculpting Classes on the Videos Page
We had a student quit the other day complaining that we don’t have enough classes up at a time. Yet she hadn’t even done one full length class. This is what we call an excuse in disguise. We get all excited and sign up for a new online workout but when it comes time to actually doing it, we come up with some ridiculous and fake reason not to. We are in the process of making 12 videos available for our members at all times. However even if we just had 4 (like we used to) there is still nothing to complain about. It’s a “just shut up and workout” moment that we need to recognize in ourselves. If you’re doing FlowLIFT three times per week, you are going to see and feel extreme results even if you have to repeat a class or two. Don’t make up phantom reasons not to do the work.
Excuse #3: Working Out at Home Alone is Boring
You don’t need to workout with a friend and you don’t need to be in the room with an instructor. We completely agree that the group energy in a studio is truly amazing. We love it and we totally get why you do too. But there isn’t always time to make it to the studio. Our sanity depends on exercise. This has been proven many times over. If exercise was a drug, it would be the most powerful pharmaceutical known to man. With FlowLIFT you’re always just a few clicks away from the perfect routine. Turn off the voice telling you that working out alone at home is boring and create a new internal dialogue. Just do it! Shut up and workout! You’ll feel so much better! It works everytime! All of these are things you can say to yourself to override the debbie downer mentality.
